The Glover Place estate in Bootle has always been a close-knit, friendly community, home to residents who have lived there since its construction in the 1980s. This community spirit truly shone during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, with neighbours coming together to support one another. One resident who played a pivotal role was Helen Saunders, who recently received the Great Neighbour award through BBC Radio Merseyside’s Make a Difference campaign, recognising her exceptional contributions.

Our involvement began with multiple noise complaints and reports of suspected cannabis use from one of six flats within a residential block. In response to these early warnings, Prima Group took immediate steps to address the anti-social behaviour (ASB) in line with our commitment to maintaining safe and peaceful communities.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service are working hard to reduce the number of deliberately started small fires, such as rubbish fires and bonfires, across our county. Last year, they responded to 218 deliberately started small fires over the bonfire period—a reduction of 18.7% compared to the previous year.
